Kulai is a town near Johor Bahru. It is located to the northwest of Senai, within the recently created Kulaijaya District. While Kulai is administered by the Kulai Municipal Council, the administrative centre for Kulaijaya is being planned for the township of Indahpura.
Until the creation of the North-South Expressway, Kulai was a stopover point for travellers passing through between Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur. The majority of the population are Hakka Chinese. The town does not offer much in terms of attractions. There are a few Chinese temples such as the Thousand Fairies Temple and the Seven Sisters Temple. There are also a few churches in Kulai including the Kulai Presbyterian Church, the Christ the King Catholic Church and the Kulai Baptist Church.
Getting there
Kulai can be reach by exiting the North-South Expressway at Kulai Interchange (Exit 252).
