Tanjung Malim is a town in Perak, right on the border with Selangor. It is accessed through Exit 121, the Tanjung Malim Interchange on the North-South Expressway on the Selangor side of the border.
The name Tanjung Malim was given by the British in the 19th century. Before that, the area comprised a few riverside settlements such as Kampung Kubu, Kampung Jambu and Kampung Bugis.
